Sports & Teams

BCHS has three seasons of sports. Teams compete in the South Sequoia League and the California Interscholastic Federation Central Section.

In the 2011-12 school year, 65.6 percent of students participated in one or more sport. Successes celebrated in 2011-12 included two CIF Central Section Team Championships, six SSL team titles, two Bakersfield Californian Players of the Year, the nation's No. 1 freshman girls' soccer goal scorer, two individual Valley titles and 11 individual league titles.
