BCHS is committed to providing a safe and secure campus for all of our students, faculty, staff and parents. It is our desire to be prepared and equipped to handle all security issues. As such, we have, and continue to update, a detailed "Crisis Response Plan" for our school that all staff, faculty and students are familiar with and understand. Furthermore, members of our administrative team and staff receive continual training in conjunction with the Bakersfield Police Department and Kern County Superintendent of Schools in order to be current with best practices and new information for school safety.
Serving the Student Life office is our full time Campus Security Officer, Craig Porter. Porter, a former Kern County Sheriff, provides campus supervision for the school day as well as various events throughout the school year. He also assists administration with policies and procedures for responding to emergencies on campus.
