BCHS Students host free, two-day basketball clinic

A crew of five BCHS basketball players led a free, two-day basketball clinic July 5-6. This marked the second consecutive year for this undertaking.

"I started this camp to let underprivileged kids get a chance to play basketball," said BCHS junior, Brandon Nguyen, who spearheaded the idea. "Camps can be a little expensive, so we wanted to provide a free clinic to give these kids an opportunity to play basketball and have fun."

BCHS coaches, Nguyen's parents and a local church helped spread the word about the clinic, which resulted in 22 boys attending. In addition to getting pointers from high school athletes, each attendee also received a free camp shirt.
